Upon my graduation from UCSF Dental School in 1988, I was very fortunate to join my father’s practice which he established in 1954. Others of you are new, coming from Dr. Hamako’s practice in 2021. You all have trusted me with your smiles and dental health. I have watched you families grow, celebrated milestones with you and been part of your lives for many years. For all of it, I am deeply grateful.
After many years of caring for you and your families, the time has come for me to transition from a career that has given me so much joy to whatever life has to offer for me and my family in retirement.
My commitment to my patients is as much a priority for me today as it was when I began my career. For that reason, I have searched for the right successor. I am delighted to announce that Faranak Fahimipour D.D.S. or as she would like to be called, Dr. Fahimi, to continue caring for my patients and carry the practice forward.
I will remain involved during the transition to help ensure a smooth introduction for our patients and the continuity of care for you and your family. I am grateful to have found someone with similar values and beliefs, who gives me the utmost confidence that you will be well cared for in my absence. Going forward I know Dr. Fahimi will provide the care you and your family deserve.

A Message from Dr. Fahimi
Hello! My name is Dr. Faranak Fahimipour, and I am truly looking forward to meeting you. It is an honor to continue the wonderful practice that Dr. Doi and her family have built over many decades. I have great respect for the relationships she has developed with her patients and for the trust you have placed in her and the team.
I graduated from dental school in 2009 and have been practicing dentistry for more than 15 years. My career has taken me from Iran to Vancouver, Canada, and eventually to the Bay Area. After moving to California, I completed a two-year postgraduate program in Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry at UCLA, further expanding my training in comprehensive and cosmetic dental care.
My philosophy is simple: listen carefully, treat each patient with kindness and respect, and provide thoughtful, high-quality dental care. I believe in preserving healthy teeth whenever possible and helping patients make informed decisions about their treatment.
I understand that a change in dentists can feel significant, especially when you have known and trusted Dr. Doi for many years. My goal is to make this transition as comfortable and seamless as possible while continuing the personal attention and quality of care you have come to expect from this office.
